Richard J. Perry, Jr.

Richard Perry lives in Rehoboth Beach, DE, where he has been actively involved in civic and charitable endeavors.  He is a lawyer and has been involved in the banking and financial services industry his entire career.  Currently, he is Of Counsel to a boutique banking law firm in CA.  He was a partner in several national/international law firms, practicing corporate, banking and securities laws.  He formerly was an owner, managing member and general counsel of an asset management/private equity /investment banking firm that was headquartered in Washington, D. C. with offices throughout the country. He also served as the Executive Assistant to the Chairman of a federal banking agency.


Rick has been involved in numerous political activities in Delaware and previously in Massachusetts.  He served as both Chair and Vice Chair of the Rehoboth Beach Planning Commission.  He currently serves as co-chair of the Organization Committee at Rehoboth Beach Main Street.  Rick is an enthusiastic supporter of many non-profits, including, among others, the Humane Animal Partners (Delaware) and the Humane Rescue Alliance (Washington), Bebee Medical Foundation, and CAMP.  As a trustee of a private foundation, Rick made numerous trips to Africa, Mexico, South America, and Central America to help improve the lives of vulnerable children throughout the world. In 2012, Rick provided the funds to build and operate a home and school in Guatemala for these purposes.  He serves as a trustee and on the boards of several private foundations and was formerly a director and the treasurer of the Massachusetts Special Olympics.
