MAINSTAGE 2026 SEASON AUDITIONS: 

Clear Space Theatre Company is excited to announce auditions for our 2026 Season. Auditions are by appointment only. Clear Space Theatre Company welcomes Equity and Non-Equity performers to audition; Equity contracts may be available for select roles. Auditions will be held for the following productions:

Dear Evan Hansen (May 1–24) Directed by Joe Gfaller

*The Cher Show, Mean Girls, and Pretty Woman are Summer Repertory productions performing twice weekly. 

Compensation: Summer Repertory pay varies by number of productions (up to $650/week for all three). Leading roles outside the summer generally are paid $325/week and supporting and ensemble roles are paid $250/week. Compensation may vary based on licensing agreements and AEA status.

Requirements:

• Prepare 16–32 bars of a musical theatre song; accompanist provided. No a cappella auditions. 
• Bring a headshot and resume.
• For Georgia McBride, also prepare a one-minute monologue.

Please provide the audition materials listed above with your virtual submission and/or a performance reel and indicate which productions/roles for which you wish to be considered.

Callbacks for virtual submissions may take place at the audition location closest to you at the designated date and time or via self-tape depending on the production.

Audition Day Schedule:

Auditions will take place from 9:00–11:00 AM, followed by a dance call from 11:00 AM–12:00 PM. We will break for lunch from 12:00–1:00 PM. Auditions will resume from 1:00–3:00 PM, followed by an additional dance call from 3:00–4:00 PM for auditionees in the afternoon session. If needed after the New York and DC auditions, callbacks will be held by invitation only from 4:00–6:00 PM. Local callbacks in Rehoboth Beach will be scheduled on a show-by-show basis.

Not all auditionees will be asked to attend dance calls or callbacks; performers will be notified day-of if additional participation is needed. Please sign up for one audition slot only. A single slot is sufficient to be considered for all productions.
