ANNOUNCING 2025 AUDITIONS

BEETLEJUICE JR AUDITIONS

These auditions are for advanced young performers (grades 4th-12th) as a part of our tuition-based SPOTLIGHT ON YOUNG PERFORMERS Program.  

• Saturday, December 7 (10:00am)

Preparation: Prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theatre pop song.

Please bring clothes for a dance call to immediately follow auditions. 

*ADDITIONAL CHARACTER AUDITION MATERIAL*

This is an opportunity to submit additional and specific material for the show to be considered by the director. This is in addition to the required in-person audition on December 7. 

If you are interested in auditioning for these specific characters (Beetlejuice, Lydia, Adam Maitland, Barbara Maitland, Delia, Charles, Sky, Miss Argentina, Otho, Juno) see the attached Character Breakdown and use the rehearsal tracks listed for your audition. 

You may audition for as many of these characters as you choose, however, you should send them all as one video by December 6 at 6pm as an unlisted YouTube link to dbutton@clearspacetheatre.org. All songs and sides for each character are listed below, they must all be submitted for each character.

Clear space seeks diverse, non-union actors from ALL backgrounds for our 2025 productions of

OKLAHOMA! (Spring – March)

SPRING AWAKENING (Spring – May)

SUMMER REP – HAIRSPRAY, RENT, BEAUTIFUL: The Carole King Musical (June – August)

*Contract dates can be found on the audition form.

• Preparation: Prepare 16-32 bars of a pop/musical theatre pop song (not to exceed 60 seconds). After you reserve your time slot at the sign up link below, please fill out this audition form in advance and bring with you, along with your sheet music, a headshot, and resume.
• Location: Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theatre (1101 6^th St. SW, Washington, DC. 20024)

• Salary – Based on time of year and requirements of your time at rehearsals – $200-$500/week.

LOCAL AUDITIONS:

Saturdays, November 9 and November 16 (9:00am-12:00pm)

There will be a dance call to follow.

Auditions for ages 15 and up (or those turning 15 within the 2025 calendar year) will be held 9:00am-10:00am on Saturday, November 16. Only this age range should sign-up for these slots.

• Preparation: Prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theatre pop song (and a 16-32 bars of a classic musical theatre song if interested in OKLAHOMA!) – no more than 90 seconds – you’ll be timed.
• Salary – Based on time of year and requirements of your time at rehearsals – $100-$500/week
