The summer repertory at Clear Space Theatre Company is part of what makes Rehoboth Beach such a vibrant summer arts destination. With three musicals rotating through our mainstage every week, no matter what week you visit Rehoboth Beach this summer, you have the opportunity to see every one of our dynamic crowd-pleasing summer shows while you are here. See all three and enjoy the amazing range of our core summer repertory artists, as they transform from one character to the next across each of the shows. Check the calendar on the left carefully as performances play on different days of the week each week. Performances are at 7:30pm, plus occasional Saturday matinees at 2pm

In addition to our core mainstage musicals, our summer festival also includes a cabaret series featuring Broadway performers, storytelling, drag, local favorites and more, with performances on Sundays at 5pm and evenings the week prior to Labor day. Our Saturday Morning Children’s Theatre series is growing this year as well - with two 45-minute world premiere plays just for audiences ages 4 and up. Check them out on Saturday mornings, sometimes at the theater and sometimes on tour across Sussex County!

Sybil Under the Stars
Perfect for young people 4 and up!

For years, a summer tradition at Clear Space has been a series of stories for young people brought to life on stage by teens from the Clear Space Arts Institute. This year, that series grows as we present the world premiere of a 45-minute plays for young people by Clare Conroy Hughes, thanks to the generous support of the National Endowment for the Arts and the America 250 program.

Sybil Under the Stars tells the true story of a Connecticut girl whose Paul Revere-esque ride prepared the Colonial militia to face and turn back a British invasion. One spring night in 1777, 16-year-old Sybil Luddington is awakened by urgent news, the Revolution needs a hero. With no one suspecting a young girl, Sybil and her horse, Star, ride through the night to rally the militia, embarking on a brave and unforgettable journey. This new play for young audiences tells the inspiring, likely true story of Sybil’s 40-mile midnight ride to warn Patriot forces of a British attack. Though her heroism helped protect her community and earned praise from leaders like George Washington, her story remained largely unrecognized for years. Sybil Under the Stars celebrates courage, resilience, and the extraordinary impact of a young girl who answered the call.

Performances of both plays will be offered select Saturday mornings at Clear Space Theatre Company, with additional touring performances at venues across Sussex County. The full touring schedule, including dates and locations, can be found by clicking the button below!
