Get a Summertime Glow – Under the Stage Lights!

This summer, let your child experience a week full of imagination, exploring acting or a combination of acting, singing, and dancing at our Acting Summer Intensive or Musical Theatre Summer Intensive camps. 

Clear Space’s summer camps began in 2004 to serve students of Sussex County, Delaware. Since then, thousands of students have participated, many from well beyond Sussex County. Each year, camps reach capacity early, so it’s important to reserve your child’s spot quickly.

Each camp is designed to give students a glimpse into the process for creating a professional production. Mirroring some of the rehearsal and production process of Clear Space’s own summer repertory season, students will create and perform a short live production by the end of each week. Five camps will be offered in Rehoboth Beach, with two additional camps to be announced later this winter at other locations. Our Rehoboth Beach camps this year include three Musical Theatre Summer Intensives focused on Broadway musicals adapted for young people, and two Acting Summer Intensives focusing on monologues, scenes, and audition preparation for actors (no singing genes required!).

In this performance-based experience, our faculty of industry professionals guide students through instruction in acting technique and, at the MTSI camps, dance and vocal technique, as well as group rehearsals. This experience culminates in two free performances on the final day at 11am and 12pm.

All Intensives Include:

• One student ticket to a CSTC Summer Rep performance (good for any Summer Rep performance during their week of camp) and 20% ticket discount for additional family members to accompany their camper.

Summer Camp FAQS: 

• What is the price? – All summer intensive camps are $425 per student
• What are the hours? – Monday through Thursday 8:45am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:45am – 1pm.
• Are meals provided? – While we cannot provide meals for campers, we ask that they come to camp with a lunch box for the entire day. We take a break for lunch, as well as multiple snack breaks during the day. Campers will not be allowed to leave Clear Space property for lunch so please pack accordingly. 
• Are scholarships available for summer camps? – Yes! Our deadline for summer camp scholarship applications is April 15th. Email info@clearspacetheatre.org for more information.
