Mondays (5 - 7 pm) February 3rd – April 7th
Tuition - $200
Designed for adults who wish to expand their education in musical
theatre dance, whether for personal craft or just for fun.
Students will be guided through jazz and tap styles focusing on proper
alignment, flexibility, muscle control and correct execution of
Wednesdays (10 am - 12:30 pm) January 22nd - April 9th
and Doug Yetter, Instructors
Tuition - $250
For students 50 and older, we offer the joy of performing without the
added pressure of memorization or complex staging. Learn the
score to this popular musical, including “Anything You Can Do (I Can Do
Better)", "Lost In His Arms", "There's No Business Like Show
Business", and more! The semester concludes in a
final public performance on April 9th.
Sundays (6:30 - 8 pm.) February 9th - April 13th

Join other experienced actors for one-hour sessions to improve existing
skills through exercises led by Acting Company members and other
professionals including technique, Shakespearean interpretation,
monologue/scenes, improvisation principles and more! Drop-in fee
of $5 per session. Call for specific

AUDITIONING FOR MUSICAL THEATRE Part 1

peers with feedback. Actors provide their song based on what they
learned from the
previous musical theatre workshop.

Bring your monologue to life! Dot will work with actors to clarify
character, objective, and action choices using technique exercises and
individual feedback. Please bring a monologue. You may join
workshop even if you did not attend Part 1.

WORKING WITH A NEW PLAYWRIGHT
Presented by Cassandra Pressimone
Read a new play by an up and coming new playwright, Cassandra
The session will include the reading of her piece with talkback about
observations to follow. Tell the new playwright what you
think the strengths of the work are and what could be improved
an actor's perspective.

Avenue Q, The Lion King, War Horse-with so many shows using puppetry,
a few strings and borrowed puppets from the Millian Methodist in Rockville, Maryland for this
workshop. Learn puppetry techniques to bring that "piece of cloth and foam" to
life and learn how those techniques help actors bring themselves to life
as well! Learn how to work different types of puppets from Human Puppets to
Monsters to Animals - creating movement and a voice for each!

WORKING WITH A DIRECTOR
Presented by David Button, Director and
Clear Space Company Manager
David will lead actors through scenes that have multiple
interpretations. He will direct actors in these scenes utilizing different approaches, exploring
genre, objective, physicality, relationship, and analysis. What is a character''s true
motivation - to kill you or to seduce you? Why are you being questioned

READING OF A PUBLISHED PLAY

As Clear Space looks for works to be presented in upcoming seasons,
the company would like to hear new pays read aloud. We
begin this process with
the published work of Ronald Harwood, QUARTET - the play made prominent
by the recent movie starring Maggie Smith.

are required to wear clothing that is light-weight and in which they
can move easily. Jeans and tight tops are discouraged.
- Students must wear a jazz oxford, which may be
purchased for $19.99 at www.dancedistributors.com. Click on

- Long hair must be secured away from the face in a
pony tail or braid. No hats are permitted.

- Holidays and Closings: The semester calendar allows
for holidays and conflicting events at Clear Space. Please refer to
your registration acceptance letter for class meeting dates.

Before First Class: 75% (Unless Class is at Capacity); After First
Class-50%; After Second Class-No Refunds
