David Button

David Button
Artistic Director

David Button received his B.A. in Theatre from DeSales University, with a focus on Acting and Directing. He has worked in regional theatres in the Pennsylvania area before returning to Delaware and collaborating on projects throughout the state.  David previously worked in Theatre Administration as an intern to the Artistic Director of the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. 

Beginning in 2007, Mr. Button became a member of Clear Space Performing Arts Institute Faculty and was hired as the Company Manager in 2008. Button helped create the Theatre Arts Academy curriculum and afterschool programs at Cape Henlopen High School and the Spotlight on Young Performers series.

Jann Ellis
Acting Instructor

Jann Ellis is a retired professor of theatre arts, who holds her Master of Arts and Master of Science degrees from Villanova and Cheyney Universities, respectively.  Jann has performed in numerous stage, cinema, and television productions throughout the United States and England.  She is an active member of Screen Actors Guild and Actors Equity Association.

Melanie Bradley
Musical Director

Melanie Bradley is a resident of Lewes, where she lives with her husband and two boys. She received degrees in piano performance from Ithaca College and the University of Maryland, College Park. 

Shondelle Graulich
Choreographer

Shondelle Graulich has been involved in the arts and entertainment industry since she started dancing at the early age of two. Dance as her major passion in life led Shondelle to her current professions of a Dance Studio Owner/Teacher & Choreographer and Group Fitness Manager of Delaware’s largest gyms, Club Fitness. Last season Shondelle choreographed RADIO GAGA (Broadway World Award), TOON TUNES, and REALLY ROSIE.

Sydney Gray
Company Manager

Sydney Gray has worked with Clear Space since 2006.  She was director of AVENUE Q and she was the Assistant Director of THE ODD COUPLE.  Sydney has also been seen on stage in LITTLE WOMEN, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, and HELLO, DOLLY! (just to name a few favorites). Aside from performing, Sydney has also worked as an instructor for the Broadway Bound program, The Musical Theatre Summer Intensive camps, and co-founded the Summer Acting Intensive.
